Mentors

Thamooh Ahmed Saeed
Thamooh is a Maldivian sports development professional with extensive experience in sport governance, high-performance planning, and athlete pathways. He currently serves as the Secretary General of the Maldives Olympic Committee, after previously leading the organisation as Director General and Program Coordinator. His earlier work at the Maldives National Institute of Sports focused on grassroots and talent-development programs across the country.He has contributed to national sports policy as a former member of the Maldives National Sports Council and is currently involved in the 20-year National Sports Development Plan.

Dr. Maumoon Shareef
Dr. Maumoon Shareef (MD Psychiatry) is the Head of the Mental Health Department at Hulhumalé Hospital, a Board Member of the Maldives Parole Board, and a member of the National Mental Health Technical Advisory Group. He has led nationwide awareness and school-based early-intervention programs, and delivered staff wellness workshops for major institutions. He has guided efforts to strengthen regional mental health services and supported the Ombudsperson’s Office for Transitional Justice. Under his leadership, the Mental Health Center expanded tele-outreach, feedback systems, and internships, advancing access and stigma reduction.

Dr. Aishath Shahudha Abdulla
Dr. Aishath Shahudha Abdulla is an economist, researcher, and Deputy Minister with a PhD in Economics. She combines a strong academic background in economics, accounting, and finance with practical work in creativity-driven economic transformation. She has over five years of teaching and research experience, including roles as Assistant Professor at Villa College and as a Research and Teaching Assistant at Universiti Brunei Darussalam, where she taught econometrics, statistics, and R programming. She has also published two Scopus-indexed book chapters on economic growth, financial stability, and risk dynamics.

Naail Abdul Rahman
Naail serves as the Managing Partner at Intellea Partnership, a software development firm, and also works at LottieFiles. He is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of AI and machine learning, unveiling novel technological frontiers. Furthermore he is committed to sharing his extensive knowledge and nurturing the next generation of tech enthusiasts.

Amjad Mohamed
Andho Mohamed is passionate about building beautiful systems on the inside. As a Fullstack Engineer and Devops Engineer, he is dedicated to enhancing both user experience and developer experience, to facilitate building quality systems that is easy to maintain and scale. With a focus on Distributed Systems and Domain Driven Design, he loves to explore ways to streamline the development process to deploy without fear.

Asna Saeed
Asna Saeed is a software developer with 12+ years of digital transformation experience. She currently heads the Health Information System section of the Health Information Management & Research Division at the Ministry of Health and is an Advisory Member of Women in Tech Maldives. She also mentors youth and empowers communities to build impactful, tech-driven solutions.

Ismail Kaleem
Ismail Kaleem is a deeptech entrepreneur and founder of OXIQA, a deeptech holding company behind IQDOT, a managed security services provider, and Synetecs, a local homegrown deeptech AI startup and Startup of the Year (MSME) 2025 winner. His work sits at the intersection of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, helping organisations build secure and intelligent systems. Ismail has exhibited his startups at Startup Grind in Silicon Valley and Web Summit in Qatar, and mentors young founders on idea validation, product basics, go-to-market strategy, and pitching their first startups.

Nafiz Abdulla
Leading Digital at Ooredoo, Nafiz brings over 15 years of experience in building platforms, shaping digital strategy, and driving impactful innovation across the telecom sector. His work focuses on transforming ideas into scalable digital solutions that improve everyday experiences for people and businesses.

Hussain Zinaan
Hussain Zinan is a veteran fitness professional with over 30 years of experience. He is the Founder and Head of Fitness at TEMPO and has led major fitness institutions across the Maldives, Thailand, and the Middle East. His qualifications span Sport Scientist (Candidate), HROX Performance Coach, SGX/Obstacle Specialist, and multiple certifications in personal training, performance coaching, and nutrition. Renowned for his advocacy for movement and longevity, Zinan continues to elevate the fitness landscape with deep expertise, passion, and global insight.
Judges

Mohamed Shamheel
Mohamed Shamheel is the Founder and CEO of Loopcraft, a leading Maldivian design-tech company focused on building products that bring together design, technology, and AI. Under his leadership, Loopcraft delivers award-winning, community-focused products, including Humanlot, an AI-powered HR SaaS platform, and Foodies, one of the Maldives’ most recognised delivery services. The company also develops internationally featured augmented reality applications and original games. Driven by a belief that world-class products can be built in the Maldives, Shamheel continues to advance innovation at the intersection of design, technology, and product development.

Ayesha Nurain Janah
Ayesha Nurain Janah is a Chartered Accountant and experienced business leader bridging corporate, startup, and philanthropic sectors. Active in the global tech ecosystem since 2013, she is recognised as a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader (Class of 2025) and an Airtree Ventures Explorer. She currently serves on the Oversight Committee for New Zealand’s Code of Conduct on Online Safety and advises award-winning Maldivian startup Synetecs. Nurain is the Founder and Chair of Kandūfa Foundation and holds senior governance roles, including Chairperson of Maldives Airport Company Limited (MACL).

Aminath Farshana
Aminath Farshana is a seasoned software engineer and technology leader working at the intersection of AI, digital transformation, and DevSecOps. She currently serves as Superintendent and IT Deputy Section Head at Maldives Customs Service, where she has led major modernization initiatives, including API ecosystems and AI-driven workflows. With strong interests in low-resource NLP, ethical AI, and digital governance, she focuses on building scalable, secure, and sustainable systems. Committed to mentoring emerging engineers, Farshana is driven by purpose and curiosity to create technology that delivers meaningful public-sector impact.

Saudath Afeef
A dedicated clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience in mental health and community service. Holds an MSc in Clinical Psychology from Mysore University, awarded a gold medal and presidential distinction. Currently serves as a licensed psychologist at Treetop Hospital and as a Director at the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Information and Arts. Professional experience includes supporting children, youth, survivors of violence, and individuals with disabilities, with contributions to national mental health initiatives, including Mental Health Policy reviews and advisory roles.

Shabeen Ali
Mr. Shabeen Ali is a senior technology and telecommunications leader with over 32 years of experience, including more than two decades in the telecom sector. He currently serves as Director of Operations at Ooredoo Maldives and as Chief Technology Officer at Techfin Maldives. He has held key leadership roles across operations, network planning, and IT, contributing significantly to national connectivity and improved customer experience. His extensive experience in managing large-scale technology operations and infrastructure reflects strong technical expertise and strategic leadership.
