Judging Criteria
Total Points: 100. Each team has 8 minutes: 5 minutes for pitching and 3 minutes for judges' Q&A. Judges evaluate understanding of the problem, quality of the solution, effective use of tools, and clarity of the presentation.
Problem & Impact (20 points)
Assesses how well the team understood and defined a real-world problem related to one of the hackathon themes.
- Clarity of the Problem (10 pts): Did the team clearly explain the problem and who is affected by it?
- Relevance & Impact (10 pts): How significant is the problem? Does the solution have the potential to make a meaningful positive impact on the target users?
Solution & Innovation (25 points)
Evaluates the quality, creativity, and design of the proposed solution.
- Innovation & Creativity (15 pts): Is the idea original or a significant improvement on an existing solution? Does it approach the problem in a new way?
- Feasibility & Viability (10 pts): How practical is the solution? Could it realistically be implemented and sustained in the real world?
Technical Execution (35 points)
Assesses how effectively the team built a functional and polished prototype that demonstrates their core idea.
- Functionality (20 pts): Does the prototype work as intended? Did the team successfully implement the core features of their solution?
- Polish & Completeness (15 pts): How complete and well-executed is the prototype, considering the 48-hour timeframe?
Pitch & Live Demo (20 points)
Evaluates the team’s ability to communicate their idea and demonstrate their solution effectively.
- Clarity & Storytelling (10 pts): Was the presentation clear, concise, and engaging? Did the team connect the problem to their solution with a compelling story?
- Live Demo Quality (10 pts): How well did the team demonstrate their working prototype? Did the demo clearly showcase the app’s functionality and value?

Total Score = Judges' Score (out of 100)
